Although we are two months away from 2012, founder and administrator of , The Sharp Shooter Press, DJ Rallo is currently forming a committee of some of the smartest wrestling fans the Internet has to offer in order to converse about all the different awards that Sharp Shooter Press will be introducing and handing out this year. From Pro Wrestling radio show host to writers all over to even some of the smartest Twitter accounts out there, ten of the best minds will come together to form the most in depth awards piece ever presented.
The purpose? Simply, to show what every award show article should really be like. Each and every year, there always seem to be articles written on the fly naming the best wrestling accolades to all TNA and WWE Superstars who they feel deserve them with no real thought. Others simply go by what they remember or award some based on bias opinions. Here at, Sharp Shooter Press, the inquiring minds of the committee will formulate a fair, opinionated, well thought out article. Do we expect everyone and their mothers to agree with us? Heck, no, but we do anticipate some discussion about some of the best wrestling we have seen in 2011.
From WWE to TNA to ROH to CHIKARA, all American wrestling organizations will be considered when naming awards. Don't think John Cena deserves to be wrestler of the year and Sami Callihan does? Do you feel as though EVOLVE has been a superior product this year opposed to WWE? Here's your chance to really let your opinions go! As for how the fans and readers of this site will tune in? At the end of Novemeber, I will post two polls for the "Fans Choice Awards" of 2011. The awards the fans will decide are "Sharp Shooter Press Interview of the Year" as well as, "People's Champ of the Year." The first award is pretty self explanatory, and the latter will have more details at the end of next month.
For now, however, six of our twenty awards being handed out this year will be revealed, as well as one or two of the five candidates determined to win the award. Voice your opinions as to who else should be eligible to win said accolades and we will consider! Either way, this will be the inaugural awards night for Sharp Shooter Press and we hope to do the best we can to provide the best insight possible. The night the awards will be distributed is on December 30th, 2011 either live on a special podcast, radio show, or another means of networking.
