WWE PPV Preview: Survivor Series

WWE's "Fall Classic" returns once again as it is the 25th anniversary of the Survivor Series. Being one of the most renowned and prestigious pay per views in WWE history, we have see the likes of Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, to name a few, who have made history at this event, respectively.


However, as of the past several years, Survivor Series has truly been a mere shadow of what it had once been. Being one of the most disappointing events in recent years, WWE has formed the team of Rock and John Cena in order to provide a special attraction in the historic, Madison Square Garden. The show this year has been booked decently at best, and while it is a strong enough card on paper, there are many factors that will play a key role in making this show a success. I have once again gone down the list of matches that are advertised and given my predictions simply based on my insight of the product. Without further ado, this is my Survivor Series preview and I hope you enjoy and leave your comments of your predictions below! The Greatest Performer in Survivor Series History: John Cena

John Cena is "Superman" as we call him. He always wins. Cena never quits. He always comes out on top. That's not true, as Cena does in fact lose...except for one PPV event. Survivor Series. So, yes, John Cena is a "superman" when it comes to wrestling at Survivor Series. Cena has been wrestling at the Survivor Series PPV since 2003.

Fast forward to 2011, as he and the Rock take on the Miz and R-Truth in Madison Square Garden. Survivor Series is a historic PPV, and the name "John Cena" may not likely be associated with it. Cena has been a sole survivor 3 times, and won/retained titles 3 times as well, for a stunning 6-0 record! That right there should prove my case, but lets take a look and breakdown each of his performances through the years.

2003: It was team Angle vs. team Lesnar, with Cena on team Angle. Cena not only rapped on Lesnar's team, but backed it up by winning the match for his team, hitting the FU on the Big Show. As the crowd stood in shock, Cena lifted Big Show off his soldiers and onto the mat. It was a great night for Cena, and a great night to kick of Cena's
 Survivor Series legacy!

WWE PPV Preview: Vengeance

Another PPV is on the way and I can honestly say once again, I don't care. Hell in a Cell, Bound for Glory, and Night of Champions have all been underwhelming pay per views and that is no ones fault but WWE's and TNA's. WWE especially has been awful as of late, with a lack of producing stars and a lack for clustering so many shows together. It's hard to believe WWE didn't learn how to book a PPV after Money in the Bank's phenomenal increase in buys this past year.

Anyways, Vengeance is being revived in WWE for no reason whatsoever....Oh well, it's better than Bragging Rights. Anyways, we are given another John Cena title match and a Big Show match in the main events. That alone makes me not care for this PPV event. Nonetheless, I will preview it and try my best to provide some insight into such a lacking and uninteresting pay per view.

WWE Predictability: Why I Am Bored After Every Show!

The WWE has been a roller coaster of a ride lately, from good shows, to bad shows. Great feuds were showcased, then all feuds turned bland.
This describes the WWE, after having a brilliant summer, to now a disappointment week after week. Now, I am beginning to grow bored with the current product, and for may reasons. If the WWE keeps it up, I will begin to question my devotion to something I've loved to watch for the last four years.

WWE: An Awesome Preview of Vengeance Plus Predictions

Hi! My name is Jeff Awesome, and this is my first article writing for the Sharp Shooter Press. I appreciate being able to be the most electrifying writer in entertainment on this site.

I will break down WWE's latest pay-per-view offering of Vengeance. Vengeance needs to live up to its moniker of revenge if it is to stand out amongst the plethora of fall pay-per-views for both WWE and TNA. Normally, I often write fantasy PPV predictions on Bleacher Report. Now, I will write an actual card that I expect to see.

Dolph Ziggler (C) vs. Zack Ryder for the United States Championship

I want to assure you that this is not a typo. I actually think Zack Ryder will get a United States title shot at a pay-per-view. After all, we've seen Air Boom vs. Swagger/Ziggler at Night of Champions and Hell in a Cell. Don't ask me how many times Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston have gone at it. I've never been a big fan of repetitive matches.

Here Comes the Pain: Brock Lesnar in WWE '12 Opens Door to Many Possibilities

Arguably the greatest pure athlete to ever grace the squared circle AND the octagon, Brock Lesnar has seemingly broken down any barriers between himself and his original stomping grounds, WWE. Recently confirmed by every major "newz" media writer and their mother, "The Pain" has agreed to a contract to WWE that will allow him to be in video games, have more merchandise, etc in a contract similar to a Legends contract. Either way, the most athletic big man in history is back in WWE after seven years away from Pro Wrestling action.

To the disappointment of many fans across the WWE Universe, Brock attempted to pursue a career in the National Football League, and later, the UFC. Lesnar had become far more successful in his latter effort and became the highest paid MMA athlete as well as one of the most popular UFC fighters of all time. Known for his cocky attitude and renowned to many as the, "Baddest Man on the Planet," the former UFC Heavyweight and WWE Champion will be crossing over once more to be featured as a Legend, in WWE's most exciting video game, since ironically, Brock Lesnar's, "Here Comes the Pain," years back.

WWE PPV Preview: Hell in a Cell

Let me start off by stating that I have not enjoyed the WWE product in the slightest since Summerslam. It has gone from the peak of greatness in July to bottom of the barrel booking. At every chance, WWE has screwed up on each and every story and character development has never been weaker. It really has been tough to get behind and I've honestly been embarrassed to associate myself with the product.

Either way, we are being presented with one of WWE's weaker PPV concepts, Hell in a Cell, only TWO weeks after their last PPV event. If that alone kills the buyrate, on top of the lackluster product, I will not be surprised in the slightest. Hell in a Cell has been a dead gimmick for years now and it needs to go, as it is no longer really over, especially in the PG Era. Anyways, I'm not really interested in this event and I have no reason really to be anticipating it. Nonetheless, I will present my predictions that will take place at the event, this Sunday. What Happened to the Hardys?

When I was a kid in the 80’s I watched wrestling religiously.  In high school I grew away from it.  One night however in the late 90’s I landed on the station playing RAW and I saw these two guys wearing baggy cargo pants and that initial image made me stop and watch.  They were different. Of course we are talking about Matt and Jeff Hardy.  

​The Hardy’s drew tons of money in the 2000’s and were over like Austin and Rock.  I have always been a wrestling fan and always pretended to wrestle on my trampoline as a kid but the Hardy’s made me want get into the business for real.  They were from North Carolina like me, and they were about my size, so I said if they can do it then so could I.  Call me a mark if you must.  I tried out for the first season of Tough Enough and as luck would have it I was selected as one of the cast members.  We met a lot of the big names during that experience.  We walked in one day and saw 2 ladders standing on the ring and on the ladders were Jeff, Matt, and Lita.  When I told them I was from NC, Matt called me “Carolina Blood” and that felt pretty cool to have something in common with those guys that nobody else in the room could claim.  

Rebuilding the Frontier: How to Make Impact Wrestling a Competitive Promotion

In the words of the legendary, Vladimir Kozlov, "I want competition," (Imagine it in a Russian tone where your not 100% what the last word was). Following this week's edition of, Raw, I have learned that the WWE product is not, "cool again," but at its stalest in months. What's worse? They gave us no reason to watch the WWE, with the ratings juggernaut, Monday Night Football, coming back next week. Essentially, unless WWE makes the next few weeks their most captivating in over a decade, they will be crushed in the ratings.

Why should we care about WWE? There is no good way to go about the CM Punk/Nash/Triple H saga, because there is no surprising outcome that could possibly happen. We've gone down every single possibility, and all are predictable and stale. The NWO reunion idea, especially makes me cringe. Honestly, if anyone wants to see the NWO in WWE or another power struggle angle, you are a hypocrite. If you complain about it in, TNA, but not, WWE, you are a hypocrite. Sorry to break it to anyone. Interview with Michael Tarver About Cena, FCW Experiences, and More! (July 2011)

Following some recent controversy on Twitter by former WWE NXT Rookie and Nexus Member, Tyrone Evans a.k.a., Michael Tarver, / was able to send some questions his way in terms of his candid thoughts of the WWE, FCW, John Cena as well as some of his other life pursuits. I hope you enjoy this interview and I thank Mr. Evans for the time to respond to my questions.


Rallo: I’m just going to start off simple and ask of your beginnings. Who were your major influences in life? Who was the person or persons that inspired you to aspire to become a professional wrestler? Where did your wrestling pursuits begin? Where does the story and the inspiration of Tyrone Evans begin?

Evans: My major influences are my parents ,my mother was a strong minister and my father was also but he was a boxer and I watched him work himself to death almost to take care of us. He went from playing for the Denver Broncos to working in a racist country club to support his family. That mad me feel like I am strong enough to do anything and I was always a wrestling fan watching NWA and WCW . I started training in Akron Ohio at the Shamrock night club in 2004 ,and have been doing it since.
